Ashy’s Cricket Academy is a start-up charity using cricket as a tool to inspire, develop and empower young people. We are at the very start of our journey, preparing to open a brand-new facility in Farington, Leyland, and are looking for a passionate Social Media Volunteer to help bring our vision to life online.
This is a rare opportunity to build a charity’s social media presence from scratch, shape its tone and identity, and grow alongside the organisation during an exciting launch phase.

The Opportunity:
This role is ideal for college/university students seeking a practical work placement, or portfolio-building opportunity in:
- Marketing

You’ll gain real-world responsibility, creative freedom, and tangible outcomes you can showcase in assignments, portfolios, and future job applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage social media content across platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Help define the academy’s online tone, style, and messaging
- Plan and schedule posts around training, community impact, and facility launch
- Capture and share stories that reflect the charity’s mission and values
- Support campaigns leading up to and following the opening of the new facility
- Track engagement and suggest ideas for growth

- No prior professional experience required — enthusiasm and ideas matter most
